Merry Christmas!!

For those of you who are just getting around to having Christmas today, or skipping it, I thought I would share this picture of the gift that Ellen had delivered to the house the other day. You don't get that many opportunities for such a shot, although it is perhaps more common in Invercargill than other localities.
Check Facebook under James Lee Preston for more photos of Christmas Roses and other stuff.
peace,
jim

Ah, this reminds me of Tanta Dorli's piano that got stuck in the stairway at 2, ch. de Beausobre. I can never remember how that story ends--we did finally get the piano up, didn't we? Or is it still there now?

Still there.
And Ellen, how is she going to reach the keys way up there?

I remember Tanta Dori's piano quite well. The situation was best summed up by James Henry, at a much later date, who described thinking to himself, "how did I ever get involved with this bunch?". Ah, if my friends could see me now (would they cry?). If he happens to call at any point, feel free to tell him that the Rugby players had no trouble. They also had no Princeton degrees.

As far as Ellen's reach goes, you seem to be forgetting that not only have we switched to metric, we are also living upside down here, and the available world maps are Pacific-centered. On top of that, to put it quaintly, she's been practicing (practising, if you insist).

In other news, I have studied the rules of cricket in preparation for my return to Mumbai. My Hindi, and comprehension of Indian culture, geography, and history are still quite raw, so I would prefer not to be referred to as an all-rounder.

If anyone knows what irredentism means, please let me in on it, and if you're cooking, then let me
BE THE PEAS,
jim
