That's good news about Annie and Santa Cruz. Funny ... I was just wondering about where she would be going yesterday or the day before. I've never been there but my friend from Fort Lee Intermediate School, Brad, had two brothers there (Jeff and Paul). They were very serious deadheads (tie-dyed t-shirts, long hair, and many reel to reel tapes of favorite performances), as well as purveyors of Thai stick and Hawaian to northern New Jersey and the tri-state area. For Brad, UCSC was a kind of nirvana -- to aspire to but beyond the realm of normal human experience. Don't know why, but I think he ended up at Amherst. Hope Annie likes it. Must be very reassuring to know that Johny and Juliana will be near to hand.
