I dreamed I saw Brother Robert last night.  He asked me to give you all his regards.  He said with a chuckle, "There are many monkeys on the mountain where you live."

Any 5th aniversary war protest street theater action in Alaska?

Some folks down in Anchorage did a protest. I missed all the action in DC. A friend had the use of the little "Peace Bus" RV during the week, and drove it all over town covered in banners, etc. Lots of Code Pink and other action on the 18th and 19th, but just about all my out of town friends had left by the time I came back yesterday. Kind of a drag, because there were a bunch of nice folks that had come to town. I don't know if you saw the "March of the Dead" action that some friends of mine put on. It was a good visual. We're always looking for new ideas, so let me know if you have any.
peace,

I saw Juliana's neice on Sunday, who is in her second year at Santa Cruz. She said she likes it a lot, but the campus is very spread out so that the dorms are not very cenrtalized. On top of that she lives off campus and has a 25 minute bus ride to school (which, however, is free). Other than that she's happy with the school.

Thanks for the Santa Cruz info. Indeed, the campus is spread out into "residential colleges". When we visited, it seemed to me that the layout was a good attempt at providing the facility benefits of a large state school and the intimacy of a small school. I'm glad she likes it. Annie was also accepted at Santa Barbara, so she may be planning a visit there. She and a couple of friends are off on their first road trip this week, so the decision-making, planning, etc. will start in earnest next week, and be done by May 1. You may have heard that they grow up fast? It is true.

peace,
