Had dinner with John and Nina from Edinburgh last night: they call your treacle dish "Spotted (or Spotty?) Dick".
Spotted dick has raisins. Treacle dick is made with molasses or, I believe, Lyle's Golden Syrup. Both names delight the inner 7th grader.
