Full Moon

The Japanese I learned see the Man in the Moon as a rabbit, pounding rice for mochi. He still looks like Jackie Gleason to me.

Speaking of moons. I don't know if you guys have checked out the view from my other office, at www.haarp.alaska.edu. Not too sunny up there these days. I'll let you know how it is in January.

I was wondering if you were still doing it--it's so great that you are. it seems like the sort of research that could use a tuba, but maybe I don't understand it properly.

This winter/spring we will play the big note. I am talking about the big one. Ostensibly creating vibrations within the auroral electrojet that should emit visible light (on dark nights). As for tubas, you know they always come in handy, and I think that a good general rule is: THe More the Merrier. see

Whoa, Daddy, sound that's so intense it turns into light? You definitely need a tuba for that project.

The primal vibration, according to NASA, is a Bb. The Note that gave us Spartans such joy was an F, which has a 3/2 ratio to Bb (actually 3/2^n accounting for octave adjustments.) You may want to consider that in addressing the Big Note.
