Robert Wyatt Interview

This is a great interview on Pitchfork in which Robert Wyatt talks about his favorite albums through the years. Guess what he listened to when he was five.

He sure does look great for 67!

Quite a while ago i had a dream about Robert Wyatt chiding me for not eating meat, which led me to wonder whether or not he was a vegetarian. From this interview, we learn that in fact he likes sausage. We also learn, even more improbably, that he was the only one in Soft Machine who drank or did drugs.

And hey, did anyone else see in all the Whitney Houston obituating that she recorded a version of Soft Machine's "Memories"in 1982 with a post-Fred Frith Material?

My recollection is that Steve Leach had that LP. Somebody in Paca Carroll did.
Also, Johny, I've coined a term for use in one of your songs: "fuxury". Please see if you can work it in.
