Yesterday afternoon, on Route 128. Was thinking of, but not listening to, the boss version of "Peggy Sue" by Lou Reed from the new Buddy Holly covers CD. It's by far the stand-out contribution, though Patti Smith's moody "Words of Love" is also kind of nice. The latter is much more a "natural" than the former, which is what makes Lou's so nice.
What else is on the jukebox?

Someone lent me that Buddy Holly tribute album. I like the Black Keys' song, though I don't otherwise care for them, and I'm sort of impressed by Paul McCarteny's teenage-sounding minstrelry on "Rave On".
I got a recording of Palestrina, "Missa Papae Marcelli", you know, which is very nice.
I've also, like a lot of people I suppose, been listening to "Back To Black". I have no particular thoughts about the life & death of Ms. Winehouse, but I quite like the album, which may be as much for the contributions of Mark Ronson and the Dap Kings.
I know I owe you a song, Jymn. It's on the way, it's on the way.
What's this about Rt. 128?
