Jody, the international student advisor, brought a bottle of Old Spice into the financial aid office. A friend in Japan had asked her to send it to him, but she wasn't allowed to mail it since it contains alcohol which is, after all, inflammable. I asked if I could have a smell, and voila, the Proustian scent of Eau de Jymn. Do you still wear that stuff, JCB?

Now I go without.
Jai will start shaving, so maybe he will carry on the marine tradition. Although his preference in deodorant is for something powerful called Axe (I think).
I wish I could make it up to Boston, if only for a whiff of the harbor, inter-atomized with Jai's deodorant and Jimmy Carl Black's socks. A heady mix, I am sure. Unfortunately, my services are required here at the present time.
From an earlier thread, I can definitely understand JCB's attitude of embracing the state of 'being the stranger in a strange land'. As I said to Johnny last week, marriage has been good to me, I don't wake up in a different hotel every morning, which would probably be my natural state. The problem with being the passenger is that someone else is driving. License and Registration, please, sir.
Eugene Chadborne was on that "Guitar Solos" album from the 70s that had Fred Frith & Henry Kaiser. Where are he and the other JCB playing in Boston?
Jimmy D's, I believe, in Sommerville
